Frequently asked questions
- How do I download a public X video?
- Paste the X link into the box above and select Analyze. The available formats and resolutions are listed, and you pick the one you want.
- Where does the X information come from?
- From X API v2 and public oEmbed. Only publicly available items are described.
- Can private or restricted posts be downloaded?
- No. Content behind a login, a private account, a paywall or any other access control is not accessible here, and this service does not attempt to work around those protections.
- Is there a size or length limit?
- Yes. The administrator of this site sets a maximum file size and duration, and items over those limits are declined rather than started and abandoned.
- How long are my files kept?
- Prepared files are temporary and are deleted automatically after the retention period this site is configured with.
- Am I allowed to download this?
- That depends on the content and on the terms of X. You are responsible for making sure you have permission for anything you download or process here.
