Terms & Acceptable Use
This service retrieves publicly available media on your behalf. Whether you may download or process a given item is your responsibility, and this page sets out what the service will and will not do.
Your responsibility
By submitting a URL you confirm that you have the right to download and process the content behind it. That may be because you own it, because it is licensed for reuse, because the rights holder has given you permission, or because your use is otherwise permitted by law where you are. Copyright, database rights and each platform's own terms of service continue to apply, and nothing here overrides them.
What this service does not do
The application is deliberately built so that it cannot be used to:
- bypass digital rights management or any other technical protection measure;
- sign in as you, or as anyone else, to reach content behind a login;
- access private accounts, private posts, or anything else not publicly visible;
- circumvent a paywall, a subscription or any other access control;
- defeat a CAPTCHA or any other bot-detection mechanism;
- reach addresses on a private or internal network.
Where a platform requires an official API or an authorised integration, this application uses that mechanism, and reports honestly when the operator has not configured it rather than looking for another way in. A request that would need one of the things above is refused and the reason is shown to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this service to:
- infringe copyright or any other right of a third party;
- redistribute content you do not have the right to redistribute;
- collect or process personal data unlawfully;
- place an unreasonable load on this service or on any source platform;
- attempt to reach content or systems you are not authorised to access.
Limits
Requests are rate limited, file size and duration are capped, and prepared files are deleted automatically after a short retention period. These limits are set by whoever operates this installation and may change without notice.
Files and retention
A prepared file is stored outside the public web root and is only served to the person who requested it. It is deleted automatically once the retention period expires; there is no long-term archive, and nothing here is a backup service.
No warranty
The service is provided as-is. Source platforms change without warning, and a provider that worked yesterday may return nothing today. Where that happens the application says so rather than guessing.
Reporting a problem
If you believe content is being processed here in a way that infringes your rights, contact the operator of this installation. Every request carries a reference identifier shown on the error page, which helps them locate it.
